PAXTON, Mass.-- Junior Pat Pio (Somers, Conn.) shot a 73 to finish atop the leader board and spark Nichols College to a first-place finish at Blackstone National Golf Course on Monday afternoon. Nichols shot a combined 326 as a team to finish in front of Anna Maria College (345) and Newbury College (367) in a mid day tri-match.

Joshua Paulhus (Sutton, Mass.) finished second to his teammate Pio while shooting an 8-over par 80. The Bison finished with five of the top seven finishers including Brent Riehl (Cheshire, Conn.) with an 85, and both Bruce Carter (Worcester, Mass.) and Dan Cafasso (Prospect, Conn.) shooting an 88.

The Bison will return to action at home on Wednesday October 8th to compete in the Nichols Invitational at 10:00 am.
