PROVIDENCE, R.I.—The Nichols College men's golf team won the Rhode Island College Invitational with a score 305, placing first among a field of seven teams, at Triggs Memorial Golf Course on Friday afternoon.

Brandeis' Lee Bloom and Nichols' Shawn Santos (Agawam, Mass.) each shot a 75 to lead the
way, with Bloom winning on the second hole of a playoff round to earn medalist honors.

Chris Brock (Pomfret Center, Conn.) shot a 76 for the Bison to tie for third overall, while Pat Pio (Somers, Conn.) and Chris Healy (Charlton, Mass.) each followed a stroke behind to finish tied for sixth. Josh Paulhus (Sutton, Mass.) rounded out the field with an 86.

Nichols continues the fall season at the NEIGA Championship at The Captain's Golf Course in Brewster, Mass., on Monday and Tuesday.
