VISITING TEAM INFORMATION
All in-season home games will have an Athletic Trainer Certified available on-site. The Athletic Training Room will open two hours prior to a game for visiting teams and will remain open for one hour after the game. A physician will be in attendance for all Football and Men’s Ice Hockey home games. Please call in advance if you will not be sending an Athletic Trainer Certified staff member with your teams, especially if your athletes require taping or other special attentions. Please supply your own taping supplies, ACE wraps, etc. and we will accommodate your team’s needs. Also, for unique taping techniques or methods, we ask that you please call or send detailed instructions. The use of ice and/or moist heat packs is available to your team before and after activity. Modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation will not be available to visiting teams traveling without coverage.
Ice Hockey teams practice and play off-campus at the June R. Levy Community Rink in Harrisville, Rhode Island. While there is a designated Athletic Training room, modalities are limited to moist heat packs and ice. Additional requests must be made through the ATC staff at least 24 hours prior to the start of the contest.
All visiting teams will be supplied with water, ice/ice bags, cups as necessary. Crutches, Vacuum Splint Bag, AED, and a medical kit with supplies will be available on-site if needed.
