DUDLEY, Mass. (7/23/2026) - The Nichols College men's volleyball program was named a recipient of the AVCA Team Academic Award for 2026, as announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association on Thursday afternoon.

For the Bison, it is their second time receiving the prestigious honor from the AVCA, and their first time since the 2024 campaign.

For 2026, a total of 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball teams earned the AVCA Team Academic Award by maintaining a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale).

The award also follows a strong showing from the Bison in the 2026 NEVC Academic All-Conference lineup, where they placed a program-record 11 student-athletes on the list, ranking them the second highest total of selections across the NEVC.
