DUDLEY, Mass. (5/28/2026) - The 2026 season marked another competitive chapter for the Nichols College men's volleyball program, as the Bison battled through a challenging schedule and emerged as one of the top teams in the NEVC.

Under the guidance of first-year interim head coach, Jack Normandin, Nichols finished the spring with several signature victories and strong individual performances, with the team compiling a 15-15 overall record with a 5-2 mark in conference play. 

Among the season's highlights was a convincing straight-set victory over Emerson, where the Bison hit an impressive .416 as a team while recording 10 service aces and nine blocks in one of their most complete performances of the year. The Bison also turned in sweeps over Rivier University (1/21), VTSU Johnson (2/28) and Wheaton (4/2) in the regular season.

Conference play proved to once again be a strength for the Bison in 2026, beginning with a four-set victory over Curry College on February 20^th at the Nichols Athletic Center, continuing an undefeated stretch on their home floor at the time. As competition progressed, Nichols continued to build momentum up to a No. 2 seeding in the NEVC Tournament, where they earned a bye through the opening round before sweeping SUNY Poly in the conference semifinals. Upon advancing to their fifth consecutive NEVC Championship match, the Bison came up just short of what would have been their fourth straight title, falling by a final of 3-0 on the road.

Several student-athletes delivered standout individual seasons and consistently led the Bison on both ends of the floor. Sophomore Adam Vincent ranked third in the conference in total kills (371) with an average of 3.50 per set (3.47), while junior Evan Sachs finished the campaign ranked second for assists (1,003) and assists per set (9.29). Both players were named recipients of All-NEVC honors following the campaign, alongside sophomore Connor Snow. The program, in total, also combined for nine new records throughout the campaign.
