Hadley Houghton has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week while sophomore
Keri Tremblay took home Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Houghton collected four goals and two assists in wins over the Fighting Scots on Wednesday and the Nor'easters on Saturday. The Madison, Connecticut native also won eight draw controls and picked up 13 ground balls last week.
Houghton – who has twice been named CCC Rookie of the Week this spring – leads the CCC in both goals (42) and points (56), the latter of which is already the fourth-highest mark in program history.
Tremblay went 2-0 last week between the pipes for the Bison, who are now 2-0 in CCC play for the first time in school history. She recorded four saves in a 15-4 win over Gordon on Wednesday, then stopped 11 shots in a one-goal win over UNE on Saturday. On the season, Tremblay is 3-0 with a .583 save pct.
With a program-record eight wins under their belt through the first 10 games of 22, the Bison return to action with a CCC contest at Salve Regina Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. at Gaudet Field in Middletown.
