Patton and Bourque Honored in Women's Lacrosse CNE Postseason

BEVERLY, Mass. (4/30/2026) – The Conference of New England announced its 2026 Women's Lacrosse postseason awards and All-Conference teams, recognizing two athletes from Nichols College.

Freshman Kaylyn Bourque and senior Emma Patton both earned All-CNE Third Team honors. Bourque capped off a phenomenal rookie campaign with her first postseason accolade, while Patton secured her third career All-Conference selection after earning Second Team honors in 2024 and Third Team recognition in 2025.

Bourque ranked third in the conference in goals per game (3.46), finishing with 45 total goals. She also placed fourth in points per game (4.23) with 55 total points. Additionally, she ranked eighth in draw controls per game (3.77), totaling 49 on the season. Bourque started all 13 games, leading the Bison in both goals and points while tying for the team lead in draw controls. She recorded three or more goals in nearly 70% of her appearances, including back-to-back five-goal performances to close the season against Suffolk and Johnson & Wales, and a career-high six goals earlier in the year against Gordon College. She also earned CNE Rookie of the Week honors for the week of March 23.

Patton played a pivotal role in the Bison midfield, tying for eighth in the conference in draw controls alongside Bourque. She started all 13 games and finished third on the team in goals with 13, while adding four assists. Patton posted an impressive .750 shot-on-goal percentage and ranked second on the team in ground balls with 32. She recorded a season-high three goals in multiple contests, including the season opener against Rivier University and a midseason matchup against Curry College. Patton also reached a major milestone, collecting her 100th career ground ball in the team's second-to-last game against Suffolk, and concluded her four-year career at Nichols with over 100 points, goals, and ground balls.

In addition to the All-Conference selections, graduate student Ali Vozzo was named to the CNE Community Service Team.
