WELLESLEY, Mass. – The Nichols women's basketball program fell in overtime to Wellesley College, 78-70, in non-conference action at Dorothy Towne Fieldhouse Tuesday night.
The Bison (0-2) were down ten points at the half before outscoring the Blue (2-2) 31-21 in the second half to tie the game and force overtime.
Nichols was led by senior
Kiera Fernandes' 22 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and six steals. She was followed closely behind by junior
Abrianna Vazquez and senior
Leandra Ortiz, who scored 18 and 14 points, respectively. Freshman
Alyvia Smith led the team with seven steals.
The Bison continue their road schedule Saturday, November 19, when they face Salem State University at 1:00 p.m. at Twohig Gymnasium in Salem, Mass.
