Bison down Falcons, fall to Lions

Recap
The Nichols College women's volleyball team split a pair of matches on Saturday afternoon at Eastern Nazarene College on Saturday, defeating Fisher College 3-0 before taking a 3-0 loss to the Lions in non-conference action in Quincy, Mass.
 
Senior Megan Gardner and freshman Chardae Saunders each registered eight kills against the Falcons while sophomore Jayleen Fegan and freshman Madison Perrotti combined for 33 digs. The Bison won game one 25-21, game two 25-18, and game three 25-19.
 
Against the Lions, Saunders, Perrotti, and freshman Allyson Tuxbury picked up seven kills each while Fegan racked up 23 digs. Eastern Nazarene won game one 26-24, game two 25-15, and game three 25-23.
 
Three things you need to know...
            -Nichols moves to 2-1 all-time against Fisher College while falling to 0-4 lifetime against Eastern Nazarene College.
            -Sophomore Rachael Veilleux made her season debut for head coach John Post and collected 46 assists on the day – 22 against the Falcons and 24 against the Lions. She also had two service aces against ENC.
            -The Bison have equaled the single-season program record of six wins – established in their inaugural season of 2016 – just nine matches into the 2019 campaign.
