Junior 
Amanda Alioto drove in four runs to help the Nichols College softball team sweep its Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) doubleheader from Curry College Saturday afternoon at D. Forbes Will Field.
 
Game One – Nichols 4, Curry 1
The Bison (11-8-1, 4-2 CCC) scored three times in the second and once in the fifth to back junior starter 
Alexis Ferris, who struck out nine in seven innings of work en route to her sixth win of the season. Freshman 
Samantha Kostek launched a ball to left field in the second that was misplayed by the left fielder – who was injured on the play, allowing senior 
Jessica Kuelling, junior 
Taylor Commesso, and sophomore 
Colleen Callahan to score. Senior 
Callie Andrews later walked and scored on an error in the fifth to extend the NC lead.
 
Game Two – Nichols 7, Curry 0
Alioto recorded a two-run double in the first and a two-run single in the sixth, and finished the afternoon 3-for-4. Senior 
Cara Mayhew plated a pair with a single in the fifth while Kostek went 2-for-4 with three runs scored and one RBI. Freshman starter 
Candice Nelson held the Colonels (10-13, 0-6 CCC) to two hits and one run over seven to move to 5-2 on the season.

In her last four games, Alioto is 7-for-12 (.583) with five RBI.
