CNE All-Conference Release

Mary Jo-Laudati and
Michaela Fortier of the Nichols Softball program were named to the Conference of New England (CNE) All-Conference Teams, the league announced on Tuesday morning.
Silliman, for the second time in her collegiate career, was selected to the All-CNE First Team. Jo-Laudati and Fortier meanwhile landed on the All-CNE Second and Third Teams, respectively, with both being first-time recipients of postseason honors from the conference.
Silliman turned in another impressive season for the Bison this spring, leading the team with 11 doubles while batting .348 with 39 hits, 22 runs scored, and 16 RBI across 37 games played. As a senior captain for the program, she was also a steady presence at first base, posting a stellar .988 fielding percentage with 241 putouts, while eventually surpassing 1,000 career putouts in the split at Western New England on April 23
rd. Additionally, she set the program record for career doubles against Suffolk University on March 21
st, with her total now standing at 50.
Jo-Laudati emerged as one of Nichols' top offensive contributors during the 2026 campaign, leading the squad with a .397 batting average and a .507 slugging percentage. In 24 games played, she recorded 29 hits, including six doubles and a triple, while driving in 13 runs and posting a .423 on-base percentage. Jo-Laudati also totaled 10 multi-hit performances throughout the season, and provided consistent production throughout conference play, ranking in the top-10 for batting average.
Fortier was another key offensive producer for the Bison in 2026 as a go-to designated player, batting .349 across 27 total appearances. Across that span, she also recorded 22 hits, including three doubles, while driving in 11 runs and posting a .423 on-base percentage. Fortier also showed consistency at the plate throughout the season, finishing with five multi-hit performances.
Along with her Third Team honors, Fortier was also named the Bison representative on the CNE Community Service Team.
Softball concluded its 2026 spring on April 29
th with a split against Endicott College, winning the closing game by a 5-2 margin. Altogether, the Bison finished with a 16-22 overall record, with a 9-11 mark in conference play.
