Box Score 2 BRISTOL, R.I. – The Nichols College softball team dropped a pair of games at Roger Williams University Sunday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at Paolino Field.
Game One: Roger Williams 5, Nichols 3
Freshman
Cara Mayhew (Brooklyn, Conn.) went 3-for-3 and drove in one run while sophomore
Zoe Chevrette (Wilbraham, Mass.) plated one run and senior
Christina Barrows (Carver, Mass.) went 2-for-3. Senior
Meghan Sears (Tewksbury, Mass.) allowed seven hits and five earned runs over six innings in defeat.
Freshman Alyssa Murphy (Green Brook, N.J.) drove in three runs for the Hawks, who saw sophomore Juliet Hulme (Duxbury, Mass.) strike out six in 6.1 IP to even her record at 4-4.

Freshman
Alexis Ferris (Holyoke, Mass.) surrendered six hits and two runs (one earned) with one walk and five strikeouts in six innings of work for Nichols. Senior
Jade Palladino (Lynnfield, Mass.) notched the only hit for the Bison.
Senior Julianna Vesce (Mahwah, N.J.) and sophomore Michaela Pohl (Middleboro, Mass.) each collected two hits for the Hawks, who scored single runs in the first and sixth innings.
