DUDLEY, Mass. – Nichols College men's basketball head coach Tom Glynn has announced the addition of John McGlynn to his coaching staff.

McGlynn spent two years as an assistant coach at Suffolk University (2007-09), where he coordinated all recruiting efforts, developed daily practice plans and scouting reports for opponents, monitored the academic progress of the student-athletes, and ensured the program was in compliance with the NCAA.

"I have a tremendous amount of respect for John and couldn't be more excited about him joining the Nichols family," Glynn said. "I had had the chance to play with him at post-grads at Tilton Prep and have remained in contact. John has a great understanding of the game of basketball and his personality will allow him to develop great relationships with our players. In addition to his on-court instruction, he is going to focus on player skill development, recruiting and advanced scouting."

McGlynn was a member of the men's basketball program at Tufts University who went on to play professionally in Sydney, Australia as a member of the Glebe Magic (2011-12). Before that, he was a captain and all-league selection at both Arlington Catholic H.S. and Tilton Prep School.

Nichols opens the 2015-16 campaign on November 13 with a 7:00 p.m. home contest against Becker.
