2025-26 Men's Basketball Season Rewind

DUDLEY, Mass. (3/24/2026) – The Nichols College men's basketball program delivered a strong and resilient 2025–26 campaign, showcasing growth, depth, and a competitive edge throughout the season.

Under the guidance of second-year head coach Tyler Hundley, the Bison finished their season with a 15-12 overall record, as well as a 9-7 mark in conference play. After a pair of losses to open the season, Nichols claimed its first victory in overtime against Bridgewater State University, 102-99, a week before taking home a win over Saint Joseph's College of Maine, 81-79 at the Keene State Invitational, a team that was receiving votes in the D3hoops.com preseason poll. The win over the Monks would open a six-game winning streak for the Bison, their longest stretch of consecutive wins on the season, which also culminated in an epic 86-83 double overtime win over No. 23 ranked Wesleyan University, marking the second straight season for the Bison with a win over a ranked opponent.

Throughout their conference slate, one of Nichols' high points came at home against the University of New England on January 24th, where the Bison dominated the Nor'easters, 112-83,  their highest single-game total for the program since January 19th, 2022. Additionally, their 41-of-64 (64.1%) rate from the field was the best overall performance dating back to January 24th, 2006 against Anna Maria, and the second highest field goal percentage all-time.

In what was the program's 14th consecutive postseason appearance, Nichols earned hosting duties for the CNE First Round as the No. 4 seed in the tournament, where they defeated No. 5 Roger Williams University, 104-91 to advance to the tournament semifinal two days later. Despite giving it their all, the Bison narrowly fell to top-seeded Endicott College, 78-75 in the game, bringing their 2025-26 campaign to a close.
