DUDLEY, Mass. (3/24/2026) – The Nichols College men's basketball program delivered a strong and resilient 2025–26 campaign, showcasing growth, depth, and a competitive edge throughout the season.
Under the guidance of second-year head coach
Tyler Hundley, the Bison finished their season with a 15-12 overall record, as well as a 9-7 mark in conference play. After a pair of losses to open the season, Nichols claimed its first victory in overtime against Bridgewater State University, 102-99, a week before taking home a win over Saint Joseph's College of Maine, 81-79 at the Keene State Invitational, a team that was receiving votes in the D3hoops.com preseason poll. The win over the Monks would open a six-game winning streak for the Bison, their longest stretch of consecutive wins on the season, which also culminated in an epic 86-83 double overtime win over No. 23 ranked Wesleyan University, marking the second straight season for the Bison with a win over a ranked opponent.
Throughout their conference slate, one of Nichols' high points came at home against the University of New England on January 24
th, where the Bison dominated the Nor'easters, 112-83, their highest single-game total for the program since January 19
th, 2022. Additionally, their 41-of-64 (64.1%) rate from the field was the best overall performance dating back to January 24
th, 2006 against Anna Maria, and the second highest field goal percentage all-time.
In what was the program's 14
th consecutive postseason appearance, Nichols earned hosting duties for the CNE First Round as the No. 4 seed in the tournament, where they defeated No. 5 Roger Williams University, 104-91 to advance to the tournament semifinal two days later. Despite giving it their all, the Bison narrowly fell to top-seeded Endicott College, 78-75 in the game, bringing their 2025-26 campaign to a close.
