Box Score 2 BEVERLY, Mass. – The Nichols College softball team suffered a pair of losses to Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) foe Endicott College Sunday afternoon. The Bison lost both games by an identical 8-0 score; game one ended in six innings and game two ended in five.
Four different Nichols student-athletes recorded one hit on the afternoon – seniors
Emalee Watkins (Malden, Mass.) and
Rebecca Palmarozza (Hamden, Conn.), junior
Avery Orszulak (Springfield, Mass.), and freshmen
Meghan Sears (Tewksbury, Mass.).
Sophomore Sam DiBella (Danvers, Mass.) combined to go 5-for-7 with 4 RBI and four runs scored for the Gulls while classmate Jamie Corda (Higganum, Conn.) was 4-for-5 with five RBI over both games.

Haley Fountain (Warren, N.J.) took the loss in the opener as she was tagged for 13 hits and eight runs (five earned) in 5.2 innings of work. Senior Neil O'Connor (Harwick, Mass.) picked up the win for the Gulls as she held the Bison to just one hit while fanning eight in six innings.
In the nightcap, Sears surrendered 14 hits and eight earned runs in 4.1 IP. Sophomore Courtney Blake (East Islip, N.Y.) gave up three hits and struck out one in five innings to pick up the win.
The Bison (6-10, 1-3 CCC) head to UNE for a pair of games on Tuesday, beginning at 3 p.m. The Gulls (12-4, 5-1 CCC) play a non-conference DH at Salem State Tuesday.
