Hayley Zophin (Framingham, Mass.) recorded her 14th double-double of the season with 14 points and 11 rebounds in Nichols College's 76-56 loss at Roger Williams Wednesday evening in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at the Campus Rec Center.

Natalie Wilson (New Bedford, N.H.) recorded 14 points and classmate
Kristina Lindgren (Sturbridge, Mass.) chipped in with 10 for the Bison (6-16, 3-12 CCC), who were outrebounded 47-29 on the evening.
Kaitlyn Bovee (Berlin, Conn.) scored her 1,000 career point for the Hawks. The milestone bucket for Bovee came at the11:57 mark, when Bovee knocked down her fourth three-pointer of the game. Bovee finished the contest with a game-high 23 points 12 rebounds, including six three-pointers.
The game started out with both teams battling back and forth in the first half, tying the score four times with four different lead changes. The Hawks jumped out to a 12-9 lead with strong half court pressure and deep outside shooting from Bovee, who had four three-pointers in the first half.
Each team went cold and no one scored for the next three minutes. Wilson was able to end the draught and drive to the hoop for the basket and-one, putting the score at 12-11 RWU.
Again, both teams battled back and forth throughout the half, with Alexandria Lanieri (Port Jefferson, N.Y.) moving strong to the hoop and Bovee hitting her outside shots. Wilson kept the score close for Nichols with a pair of threes and a few outside jumpers. Zophin also helped Nichols out with strong inside moves to the basket and a few trips to the foul line.
With 5:51 to go in the half, the Hawks went on a 7-2 run to end the period ahead, 38-29.
The Hawks came out firing in the second half and went on an 18-2 run with Bovee hitting two threes, to put her total at five threes for the game. Bovee and Ari Renwick (Westwood, Mass.) both battled in the paint for offensive rebounds, and the Hawks were able to grab 18 second chance efforts in the second half and 30 for the game.
Nichols moved to a defensive zone and a full court press to try and stop the Hawks offensive, but it was too late. The Hawks moved the ball quick up the court and were able to get some easy layups towards the end of the game.
Lanieri had a solid all-around game with 20 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and six blocks for the Hawks. Angelica Ariola (Prospect, Conn.) added ten points, eight rebounds and five assists.
Nichols will honor Lindgren prior to the start of Saturday's Senior Day matinee against University of New England at noon. Roger Williams (15-7, 11-4 CCC) plays at Wentworth Saturday at noon.
