KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Nichols College softball team dropped its final two games in Florida today, falling 11-3 to Carthage in five innings and 9-1 to Trinity (Conn.) in five innings. The Bison return home to Dudley to open The Commonwealth Coast Conference action on Wednesday, March 25 in a 3 p.m. doubleheader against Gordon.

Lindsay Hassett (Oxford, Mass.) was 1-for-3 with a double in the first game, while Alena Murdock (Pittsfield, Mass.) was 1-for-2 in the game. Ashley Wyland (Schenectady, N.Y.) threw the first four innings before giving way to Kara Buckley (Nashua, N.H.) in the fifth.

In the second game, Molly Ferraro (Millis, Mass.) allowed nine runs (four earned) with three strikeouts, and Chelsea Correia (Seekonk, Mass.) was 2-for-2 at the plate. Lauren Correia (Seekonk, Mass.) cranked out two hits in three at bats.
