Nichols College Senior Football captain and defensive end Jonathan Merjuste (Norwich, Conn.), had a standout defensive performance in their home opener, friday night. Merjuste led the team with seven tackles and 1.5 sacks in their tough 20-19 loss. Merjuste leads the team and shares in the conference lead in sacks(3). He also leads the team ans the conference in tackles for loss with five for 25 yards lost. Merjuste will help lead the Bison defense when they host Worcester State friday night at 7pm.
