Senior golfer Pat Pio (Somers, Conn.) successfully defended his Trinity College Invitational title. Pio was the Invitational’s individual champion for the second consecutive year after finishing with a two-day, one-under-par total of 143. Pio was standing in second place after an opening round even par 72. Pio then fired a one under par 71 on day two to finish first, two strokes ahead of the second-place finisher.
