DUDLEY, Mass. (5/4/2026) - On Monday morning, the NCAA announced the schools set to compete in the 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Tournament. With the Bison winning the Conference of New England (CNE) Championship back in November over Endicott College, they sealed their automatic bid with the victory.
The tournament nod marks back-to-back appearances, with their last outing against No. 14 Tufts University (5/9/2025).
Freshly ranked No. 75 Nichols College has been drawn to play against No. 27 The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) in the first round of the tournament. The game marks the first outing between the two programs. TCNJ boasted an impressive regular season, let alone their conference win (NJAC), earning a 19-1 record and taking down at the time ranked No. 40 Skidmore, No. 30 Haverford, and No. 35 Stevens.
Their group will be hosted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, as they earned a first-round bye in the tournament. MIT is set to face the winner of the match between Nichols and TCNJ.
The match up between the Bison and the Lions is scheduled for Friday, May 8th at noon on the DuPont Tennis Courts.
