Match Recap: Men's Tennis |

Men’s Tennis Stamps Championship Ticket With Win Over No. 3 Endicott, 4-2

DUDLEY, Mass. (4/28/2026) - The No. 2 seeded Nichols College men's tennis team hosted No. 3 Endicott College at the Robinson Tennis Courts on Tuesday afternoon for the semifinal round of the Conference of New England (CNE) Tournament. Following a close-knit competition coming down to a singles win on the top side of the courts, Nichols earned a win over the Gulls 4-2.

Nichols College improves with the win jumping to a 12-6-1 record in the season overall, 11-1 in the CNE. Endicott drops to 13-8 with a 10-2 conference record.

Nichols opened the match by taking two of three doubles points to claim the early 1-0 lead. The pairing of William Albrikes and Rodolfo Hernandez earned a 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles, while Andrew Emmel and Mason Harris were dominant in a 6-2 victory at No. 3 to secure the doubles point. With the point, Nichols headed into singles competition with momentum, 1-0.

In singles play, the Bison delivered in key spots to clinch the match. Albrikes battled back after dropping the first set to earn a three-set victory at No. 1 (4-6, 6-3, 6-3), while Felipe Gonzalez mirrored that effort at No. 3 with a comeback win of his own (2-6, 6-4, 6-1). Alexander Snitko added a straight-set victory at No. 4 (6-3, 6-2), which ultimately sealed the team win for Nichols.

With the match already decided, play at No. 2 singles went unfinished. To credit Hernandez, he had begun to mount a possible comeback in his three-set bout, ending with no conclusion with the score 6-3, 3-6, 6-5. Endicott picked up their lone points on the day at No. 5 and No. 6.

Nichols' ability to respond in three-set matches and capitalize on doubles play once again proved to be the difference. The Bison continue to build momentum heading into their conference postseason finale, hosted by No. 1 seeded Roger Williams University on the RWU Tennis Courts. The CNE Championship is set to be played on Saturday, May 2nd.
