DUDLEY, Mass. (4/18/2026) - The Nichols College men's tennis team delivered a dominant performance Saturday afternoon, defeating the University of New England, 6-1, at the Robinson Tennis Courts.
With the win, Nichols improves to 11-6-1, 10-1 in the Conference of New England (CNE), while the University of New England falls to 5-8, 4-7 in the CNE.
Nichols set the tone early by sweeping all three doubles matches to secure the opening point. The duo of Rodolfo Hernandez and Alexander Snitko cruised to a 6-1 victory at No. 1, while Felipe Gonzalez and Ezra Raphael matched that scoreline at No. 2. Mason Harris and William Bergendahl completed the sweep with another 6-1 win at No. 3.
In singles play, the Bison continued their strong showing, claiming five of six matches. Snitko was sharp at No. 2 with a 6-1, 6-4 win, while Raphael battled through a three-set thriller at No. 3, rallying for a 6-7, 6-1, 10-6 victory.
Nichols also received dominant straight-set performances from Andrew Emmel (6-0, 6-0) at No. 4, Mason Harris (6-1, 6-1) at No. 5, and Joshua Zenczak (6-0, 6-0) at No. 6.
The Nor'easters picked up their lone point at No. 1 singles, but it was not enough to overcome Nichols' depth throughout the lineup.
Men's tennis will return to competition in the Semifinal round of the CNE Tournament having clinched the No. 2 seed, hosted at Nichols College. Game start still to be determined on April 29th.
