DUDLEY, Mass. (3/26/2026) - The Nichols College men's tennis team delivered a dominant performance on Thursday afternoon, sweeping Suffolk University, 7–0, in Conference of New England (CNE) action at the Robinson Tennis Courts.
Following the win, Nichols improves to a 3-4-1 record for the season, climbing in CNE play as well, 2-1. Suffolk drops to a 1-3 record with the same standing in conference play for their season, 1-3.
Nichols set the tone early by claiming all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead heading into singles play. The duo of William Albrikes and Rodolfo Hernandez opened the scoring with a 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles, while Mason Harris and Jodha Singh followed with a 6-3 victory in the No. 2 spot. Felipe Gonzalez and Ezra Raphael completed the sweep with a 6-0 decision at No. 3 doubles.
The Bison continued to carry their high-level of play in singles competition, winning every match in straight sets. Singh earned a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 1 singles, while Hernandez controlled the No. 2 match up with a 6-0, 6-1 victory. Alexander Snitko won his match at the No. 3 position 6-0, 6-1, with Mason Harris securing a 6-0, 6-1 victory on the No. 4 court. Joshua Zenczak's 6-0, 6-0 win on court No. 5 marked his first collegiate win. William Bergendahl filled the Bison's day of winning with a 6-1, 6-2 win on the No. 6 court.
The Bison kept their play flawless, securing straight-set wins on every court for both doubles and singles.
The Nichols College men's tennis team will return to play against Colby-Sawyer College on Saturday, March 28th on the Robinson Tennis Courts, start time set for 1:00 PM.
