BRISTOL, R.I. (3/20/2026) - The Nichols College men's tennis team traveled to Bristol Rhode Island on Friday evening to take on Roger Williams University in their second conference match-up of the season. The Hawks proved to be a test for the Bison, with Nichols sustaining a 2-5 loss at the RWU Tennis Courts. 

Following the loss, men's tennis drops to a 2-4-1 record with the loss, evening their Conference of New England (CNE) record to 1-1. Roger Williams improves with the win, now 8-4 on the season and 3-0 in the CNE.

At the start of doubles play for the day, the top spot of William Albrikes and Ezra Raphael fell 3-6. Rodolfo Hernandez and Joshua Zenczak fell 4-6, while Felipe Gonzalez and Mason Harris dropped 3-6 on the No. 3 court. With Roger Williams sweeping doubles, the Hawks went into singles competition with a point over the Bison.

Nichols picked up victories at No. 3 and No. 5 singles. Gonzalez turned in a strong performance with a 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 win, while Snitko battled to a 6-2, 6-4 victory on the No. 5 court. Ezra Raphael saw a close finish on the No. 4 court, pushing his opponent to three sets but ultimately resulting in a loss, 6-2, 4-6, 2-6. The two wins aforementioned marked Nichols' only points on the day, with Roger Williams producing wins on all four other courts, sealing their 5-2 win over the Bison. 

Nichols College men's tennis will return to competition against Suffolk University at the Robinson Tennis Courts, a game previously scheduled away on March 25th and now moved to March 26th as a home site contest for the Bison. Start time is set for 3:00 PM.
