KISSIMMEE, Fla. (3/10/2026) - The Nichols College women's tennis team traveled to the Oak Street Sports Complex in Kissimmee Florida on Tuesday to compete against Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) University for the first installment of their spring break trip. The Bison produced a clean sweep, taking the game as a dominant win, 7-0.

Nichols College improves with their win, boasting a 15-2 record on the season. ONU falls to a 0-4 record.

The game started with singles play as a change to the usual doubles to singles format. In solo competition, Nichols was able to capture every court in straight-set victories. At the top spot, Kamora Helton controlled the match with a 6-1, 6-1 victory, Charis Vogler following with a convincing 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles. On the No. 3 court, Pamela Gonzalez Vallardi delivered the most decisive result of the day, blanking in her win 6-0, 6-0. The Bison continued their dominance in the remaining matches. Cora Brosch secured the fourth singles point with a 6-1, 6-2 win, while Erin Helly added another with a 6-2, 6-4 victory at No. 5 singles. Cassie Rice closed out the sweep at No. 6 with a 6–1, 6–1 win.

Nichols continued to hold their pace transitioning into doubles competition, sweeping all three matches to secure the sweep. The No. 1 pairing of Helton and Gonzalez Vallardi delivered a flawless performance with a 6-0 victory. At No. 2 doubles, Brosch and Vogler matched that effort with another 6-0 shutout win, already securing the doubles point and sealing the 7-0 win. The Bison completed doubles at No. 3 as Helly and Rice won 6-3.

Women's Tennis will return to competition against No. 23 ranked Brandeis University, playing at the Cordish Tennis Courts on Sunday, March 22nd.
