Nichols College Athletics

MEDFORD, MA (2/13-14/2026) - The Nichols College men's track & field team took their talents to Tufts University to compete in the multiple day Tufts Cupid Challenge on Friday and Saturday, fielding attempts across multiple events. At the Gantcher Center, the men produced a record-breaking weekend, seeing personal bests across sprints and throws as well.

In the field events, Tyler Sandford set the program record in the weight throw with a distance of 12.65m. The mark beats out Sandford's 12.18m at the Brown University Invitational (2/22/2025). Braxton Rocha also had a day, breaking the program record in the triple jump at 12.71m, beating out 12.70m set by Levone Thomas (2017) at the CCC Invitational (4/9/2017). and moved to No. 3 all-time in the 200 meters. Rocha also added a personal best in the long jump as part of a strong all around performance.

Brady Crogan and Daniel Adamuska also produced PRs for their attempts in the shot put, with a distance of 10.75m for Crogan and 11.37m for Adamuska.

Leading the Bison on the track, Nolan Charbonneau placed sixth overall in the 60m hurdles with a program record time of 8.68 while also tying the indoor program record in the 200m dash at 24.04. His 60m hurdles time replaces his time of 8.84 earlier in the year at Wesleyan Indoor Invite II, and 24.04 in the 200m dash matches teammate Giormani Fortes De Brito's attempt at Showdown at The Heights (2/7/2025). Fellow sprinter Blake Pattison matched the program record 60m dash time exactly with 7.12, a time he produced at Wesleyan Indoor Invite II.
