DARTMOUTH Mass. (9/20/25) - On the road against the hosting UMass Dartmouth, the Nichols College women's tennis team participated in their fifth match of the season. In a display of dominance the Bison beat out the Corsairs, 6-1.
 

The Bison's record following the meeting is set at 5-0, 2-0 in conference play. The Corsairs are handed their second loss of the season, marking their record at 4-2, and 2-0 for their respective conference competition.
 

The courts for doubles competition were set with Kamora Helton and Pamela Gonzalez Vallardi at the No. 1 position, and Charis Vogler and Cora Brosch at the No. 2 position. Both courts were impressively not giving up a single point, a 6-0 win for each pairing. The Bison gave a win-by-default for court No.3.
 

Nichols displayed the same dominance entering singles play, taking five of the six courts in straight sets. Helton, Gonzalez Vallardi, Vogler, and Brosch all secured identical stat lines for their singles matches, winning 6-1, 6-0 across the board. In a tighter battle at the No. 5 court, Erin Helly was able to edge out her opponent in a 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 win. The single point for UMass Dartmouth came by default on the sixth court.
 

The Bison's consecutive match against Curry College on Wednesday has been postponed due to weather with a new date TBA. Helton and Gonzalez Vallardi will be competing in the ITA New England Championships this weekend hosted by Middlebury College.
