Northampton, Mass. (9/23/2025) – The Nichols College Women's Soccer was back in action on Tuesday for a non-conference match against Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. Smith College found success 30 minutes into the game and never looked back, scoring eight unanswered goals to win the game 8-0.
After today's results, the Bison now sit at 1-8 (0-2 CNE), while the Bears move to 1-5-1.
The first 30 minutes of the match saw Nichols College and Smith College in a stalemate, as the Bears had more shots but none of them got past Nichols College's goalkeeper
Isabella Dupret. It wasn't until the 32nd minute when Kaleigh Quinn scored her first goal of the match off a pass from Helena Prusak.
Just minutes later, Jenna Marsh found a goal of her own that Una Keller and Helena Prusak assisted. Quinn added another two goals before halftime to complete her hat trick, with Marsh adding an assist on one of those goals. By the break, Smith College had a commanding 4‑0 lead.
The second half saw Smith keep up the pressure. Keller scored a goal in the 49th minute while Quinn added two more to close out her incredible performance. Later in the match, Julia Dolph closed out the scoring in the 61st minute to end the game at 8-0.

Hannah Deschene shared the net for the game, splitting up their time equally with both of them playing 45 minutes of the game. In their time in net, Dupret registered 3 saves while Deschene registered 6 saves.
Women's Soccer returns home on Friday, September 26th, for their homecoming match against Western New England University. The match kicks off at 4 PM.
