Sibiskie Announced as Women's Volleyball Coach

DUDLEY, Mass. (6/23/2025) – The Nichols College Division of Athletics and Vice President and Director of Athletics Jack Hayes, announced Caryn Sibiskie as the 6th Head Coach of the Women's Volleyball Program.

"We are excited to have Caryn Sibiskie join Nichols College as our Head Women's Volleyball coach", said Hayes. "Her experience at all three NCAA levels, and vision for the Program, made her an ideal choice.

"I want to thank Jack Hayes, Kristan Mallet, and the entire search committee for trusting me to lead the Women's Volleyball program into this new era." Sibiskie added, "When I stepped on campus, I knew that Nichols was a special place, and everyone confirmed the community is just as welcoming. I am so excited to get to work and build on the foundation of student-athlete success!"

Sibiskie comes to "The Hill" with five years of coaching experience at all three NCAA levels.

In her first season with Iona University, the program won 15 games and advanced to the MAAC Championship semifinal following a five-set upset of Marist in the opening round. She coached three All-MAAC performers, including the Libero of the Year.

At New Haven, Sibiskie served as a graduate assistant for the Division II program during the 2021 and 2022 campaigns, helping to lead the Chargers to 38 wins and a .633 winning percentage. New Haven posted a 22-10 record in her first season, earning a Northeast 10 conference championship game appearance while taking eventual Division II Elite 8 participant American International to five sets. The Chargers earned a berth into the NCAA East Regional Championship for their performance during the 2021 campaign.

Sibiskie's first collegiate coaching opportunity came in 2019 when she spent two seasons as an assistant coach for both the men's and women's volleyball programs at Thiel College, a Division III institution in Greenville, PA. In her second year at Thiel, she also served as Title IX Advisor for the athletics department.

A Rockfall, Connecticut native, Sibiskie was a four-year varsity letterwinner at Division III Eastern Connecticut State University where she recorded 305 kills, 134 digs, 125 blocks and 50 service aces in 97 matches played as a middle hitter. In a medical red shirt campaign, Sibiskie held a student managerial role where she gained experience in recruiting, as well as planning practices.

Sibiskie and the Bison open the 2025 season on the road on Saturday, August 30th, when they face off against Sarah Lawrence and FDU Florham in a tri-match.
