Caryn Sibiskie

Caryn Sibiskie was announced as the sixth Head Coach in Women's Volleyball history on June 23, 2025. 

In her first season as head coach, Sibiskie guided the Bison to an 8-19 overall record and a 2–8 mark in conference play. Highlights from the 2025 campaign included Sibiskie’s first career win over Sarah Lawrence, a program-record 103-dig performance against Keene State, and Nichols’ first-ever conference-opening victory over the University of Hartford. Individually, the season featured milestone achievements from freshman Alyssa Morse, senior Ruby St. Onge (1,000 assists), and junior Maille Ianniruberto (program record for solo blocks).

Prior to her arrival, she guided Iona University to a 15-win season and a MAAC Championship semifinal appearance following a five-set upset of Marist, while mentoring three All-MAAC selections, including the Libero of the Year. Sibiskie also spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at the University of New Haven, helping the Chargers to 38 wins, a Northeast-10 Championship game appearance, and an NCAA East Regional berth in 2021, and she began her coaching career at Thiel College as an assistant for both the men’s and women’s programs. In her second year at Thiel, she also served as Title IX Advisor for the athletics department.

A former standout at Eastern Connecticut State University, and a native of Rockfall, Connecticut,Sibiskie was a four-year letterwinner who appeared in 97 matches and contributed 305 kills, 134 digs, 125 blocks, and 50 service aces while also gaining additional experience in recruiting and program operations during a medical redshirt year.
