With the loss, the Bison move to 3-11 (1-4 CNE) on the season, while the Hawks improve to 7-5 (4-1 CNE).

The Bison opened the scoring at the 11:34 mark of the first quarter when junior Jonah Libby cashed in for his 12th goal of the season, unassisted. Hartford countered by scoring three times in a three-minute span to take a 3-1 lead, before DeRubeis added his only strike of the night to keep the Bison within one at 3-2. The Hawks capped off the quarter with one more goal, which came with just 00:05 left on the clock.

Hartford netted all six goals in the second quarter to gain a commanding 10-2 lead at the half.

After another pair of Hawk goals made it 12-2, Doherty notched his first of the game, unassisted to cut the deficit to 12-3, completing the third-quarter scoring. He then notched his second goal at the 10:17 mark of the fourth, ahead of a man-up strike from senior Jack Ellis, which landed as his first of the season. Despite the effort, the Hawks maintained their offensive pace, and continued on to win the game, 15-5.

The Bison are off until Saturday, April 12th when they travel to Curry College (1-12, 1-3 CNE) for a 2:00 PM faceoff at Walter M. Katz Field.
