Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

Reeves, Houghton Score Goals in Bison loss to Roger Williams

DUDLEY, Mass. (4/15/2025) – The Nichols College women's lacrosse team fell at home on Tuesday night, dropping a Conference of New England tilt, 22-2 to Roger Williams University at Vendetti Field.

The Bison fall to 9-3-1 (3-3-1 CNE), while Hawks improve to 8-6 (6-1 CNE).

Both of Nichols' goals came in the first half of the contest, and belonged to freshman Sienna Reeves and senior Hadley Houghton. Along with their individual tallies, the two midfielders also combined for four ground balls and three caused turnovers, with Houghton tossing in one draw control. Freshman defender Angalisa Caceda led the defense with four caused turnovers, her season-high, while junior Veronica Hill scooped a game-high four ground balls.

In net, junior goalkeeper Briar Slattery (9-3-1) made nine saves through 57:29 of work. Senior Kaleigh Seal logged the remaining 2:31 of action.

Reeve's lone goal of the night game at the 5:12 mark of the opening frame, but was surrounded by a slew of Roger Williams strikes, with the Hawks outscoring the Bison by a 7-1 margin. The second quarter was a similar scenario for the Bison, as Houghton's goal stood alone in a crowd of Hawk tallies, with the score standing at 13-2 Roger Williams by halftime.

The Hawks went on to score nine unanswered goals in the second half, completing the 22-2 effort.

The Bison turn right around for their final non-conference test of the season on Wednesday, April 16th at Colby-Sawyer College (8-5, 5-4 GNAC). Opening draw is set for 4:00 PM in New London, New Hampshire.
