BEVERLY, Mass. (3/28/2025) – It was a clean sweep for the Nichols College men's tennis team on Friday, as the Bison didn't drop a set in a 7-0 conference victory at Endicott College.
The Bison improve to 3-9 (2-0 CNE) on the year, while the Gulls drop to 3-5 (1-1 CNE).
Nichols set the tone early-on by taking all three doubles matchups. The top tandem of
Richard Hartmann Zuzio and
Caio Dieckmann, as well as the No. 2 team of
Kerem Subasi and
Enzo Matos Balleux both won 6-4, with
Leon Zeis and
Rodolfo Hernandez taking a lopsided 8-1 win at No. 3 doubles.
Hartmann Zuzio was also victorious in singles action, as was
Jose Nunez as the Bison pair claimed wins at the top two positions by matching 6-4 and 6-2 straight-set scores, respectively. The action continued with a No. 3 singles win from Zeis (6-4, 6-3), ahead of a 6-2, 6-2 victory on court four by Subasi, giving Nichols a 5-0 lead in the match. Matos Balleux (6-4, 6-2) and Dieckmann (6-2, 7-5) also turned in strong performances on the final two courts, completing the sweep.
The Bison return to action on Wednesday, April 2nd for a 3:30 PM match at CNE opponent Gordon College (5-5, 1-1 CNE).
