DUDLEY, Mass. (3/22/2025) – The Nichols College Baseball team opened the 2025 Conference of New England (CNE) schedule as they welcomed in No. 4/4 Endicott to the Nichols Baseball Field on Saturday afternoon. The Bison were swept by the Gulls, 16-1 and 12-2.
Senior
Liam Flynn and freshman
Ryan Keating tallied the lone RBIs in the pair of losses for the Bison.
Game 1: No. 4/4 Endicott 16 Nichols 1 (7 innings)
Neither team scored in the first inning, but the Gulls opened the second inning with four runs in the top of the second inning. The Gulls did not look back from here scoring runs in the fourth, fifth, and sixth inning to lead 16-1 after seven innings to invoke the run rule.
The Bison lone run came off the bat of Flynn, who singled home senior
Ben Jerome, who reached on a walk and then stole second to get into scoring position.
Senior
John Steed (3-1) shouldered the loss, throwing 3.0 innings, while allowing six hits, seven runs, and fanning two Gulls. Teammate

Game 2: No. 4/4 Endicott 12 Nichols 2 (7 innings)
The Bison opened the scoring in the bottom half of the inning and jumped out to a 2-0 lead. Singles from Jerome and Flynn, as well as a walk from senior
Karl Miller loaded the bases for the Bison. Keating then singled through the left side, scoring Flynn and Jerome for a 2-0 Bison lead.
Endicott then scored runs for the remaining innings, until the run rule as invoked once again in the seventh inning, and the Bison lost 12-2 to the Gulls.
Sophomore
Allen Hinckley (0-1) earned the loss for the Bison, with 3.2 inning, allowing seven hits and five runs. He struck out two batters. Junior

Nichols (5-6, 0-2 CNE) will stay at home and welcome Framingham State to the Nichols Baseball Field as the Bison look to snap their four game skid. First pitch is set for 3:00 p.m.
