CUMBERLAND, R.I. (2/3/2025) - The Nichols College men's tennis team wrapped up its busy weekend of competition on Sunday afternoon with 7-0 loss against Babson College at Fore Court Racquet & Tennis Club.
With the loss, the Bison slip to 1-4 on the season, while Babson improves to 4-0 overall.
The Beavers grabbed wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles positions, both by scores of 6-1 to secure the single doubles point and 1-0 match lead. Nichols did claim a victory on court two, with graduate student
Caio Dieckmann and senior
Richard Hartmann Zuzio defeating their respective opponents, 7-5.
Enzo Matos Balleux played the tightest match in singles play for the Bison, but dell by scores of 6-4, 6-1 as Babson swept all six positions for the win.
Men's tennis will have some time off before their next match on Saturday, February 22
nd at MIT. The match will take place at the DuPont Tennis Courts, with an official start time yet to be announced.
