DUDLEY, Mass. (12/17/2025) – The Nichols College football team concluded its 2025 campaign with a 2-8 overall record and a 2-5 mark in Conference of New England play.
Despite some of the challenges faced throughout the season, a number of Bison achieved notable milestones and showcased the emergence of developing players under the guidance of second-year head coach,
Vinny Marino and his staff.
Nichols opened the fall at Massachusetts Institute of Technology on Saturday, September 6
th where they came up short against the host Engineers by a final of 46-13. Despite another pair of setbacks to follow in the coming weeks, the Bison returned to Vendetti Field and celebrated their 2025 Homecoming in style, defeating conference opponent New England College, 41-21 for their first triumph of the season.
In week five, directly following their win over NEC, the Bison kept the train rolling with a 49-20 victory at Maine Maritime Academy, bringing their overall season record to 2-3 overall, and 2-0 in CNE play.
Individually, graduate student wide receiver
Jack Morvan was the top offensive threat for the Bison this season, finishing the fall regular season as both the conference and regional leader in total receptions (67) and receiving yards (1,175), while tying for the regional lead in receiving touchdowns (11). His season total for receiving yards also made him the first player in program history to surpass 1,000 receiving yards in a single season, which joined a list of additional records set by the receiver: career receiving yards (3,421), career touchdowns (37), and career receptions (187).
Piloting the Bison attack this past season was senior quarterback
Ian Snow, who threw for 2,260 yards and 151 completions (63.98%), including 20 touchdowns. Snow also showcased his ability to run the ball, totaling 66 rush attempts for 123 yards, and six touchdowns. Freshman running back
Evan Toth made an impact in his first collegiate season, leading the Bison run game with 263 yards on 48 carries, including four touchdowns and a team-best long attempt of 34 yards in the win over NEC.
On the defensive side of the ball, sophomore standout
Caden Kehoe led the Bison with 53 total tackles on the season with 29 solo efforts, alongside three pass breakups and 2.5 tackles for a loss. Junior lineman
AJ Samuel was also a leader on the field with a team-best five tackles for a combined loss of 19 yards, while senior linebacker delivered a team-leading two sacks for 16 yards.
Nick Foynes, who was the go-to kicker in all 10 games for the Bison, totaled 1,244 yards on 31 attempts, with a long of 59 yards and an average 40.1 yards per. Foynes also went 3-of-4 on field goals this season, and connected for 25 PAT's.
