Women's Ice Hockey Defeated at No. 11/12 Endicott

BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (11/21/2025) - The Nichols College women's ice hockey team traveled to Beverley, Massachusetts on Friday to take on nationally ranked No. 11/12 Endicott College. Following the competition, the Bison were given a loss at the hands of the Gulls at the Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

With that loss, the Bison's record is set back to 2-5-0, and 0-5-0 for games in the Conference of New England. Endicott improves to a 4-1-0 overall record with a 2-1-0 record against CNE opponents.

The Gulls struck first early in the first period with a goal at 1:59, putting the game 1-0 in favor of Endicott with 18 minutes left in the period. Taylor Daley chalked up 15 saves in the first, a key contributor in the Bison keeping the lead short for the Gulls; a lead that would later be equalized at 16:07 in an even-strength bout scored by freshman forward Keira Goffe. Goffe scored her second career goal off a well-placed puck from Riley Devlin and Anna Lehan. Despite 7 shots late following the goal from Endicott, Nichols was able to hold on to a tie game going into the second period, 1-1.

Endicott scored their last 3 goals of the game in the second period. A score from the Gulls came at 1:05 from a power-play, an even-strength goal at 15:02, and the final point of the game for Endicott came at 17:22 off of a power-play. Despite the score being 4-1, Daley was able to send 17 shots back from goal, acting as a buffer to repel the Gulls' offense.

In the third, the Bison turned up the offense, outshooting Endicott 11-8, though the Gulls were able to sustain their lead with the game concluding at 4-1 for Endicott. Daley also saw a career-high 40 saves in a game.

The Bison will host Endicott tomorrow on Saturday, November 22nd. Puck is set to drop at 3:40 PM.
