Men’s Soccer Lose Final Home Match to Roger Williams

DUDLEY, Mass. (10/25/2025) – The Nichols Men's Soccer team hosted Roger Williams University for its final home match of the 2025 season. The Hawks got off to an early start and held on to grab the Conference of New England win. The final score of the game: 4-0.

With the loss, Nichols' record moves to 4-9-3 (2-6-1 CNE), while Roger Williams climbs to 12-1-4 (7-1-1 CNE) with the win.

Roger Williams opened up the scoring with Tyler Jastrab in the 6th minute. Tyler Jastrab received the ball in the 18 yard box, found enough space for a shot that Nichols senior goalkeeper Derek Axon saved, but the rebound fell back to Jastrab, and he was able to convert it on the second attempt.

Five minutes later, Roger Williams grabbed a second goal through Jastrab again. Max Patenaude was credited as the assist on the play.

The Bison's best chance of the half came through an Ayden Gardner free kick, which forced a great save from the Hawk's goalkeeper in the 27th minute.

The Hawks ended the half by Aidan Jennings whipping in a cross to Dylan Robbins, who found the back of the net through a header over his defender in the 38th minute. The Hawks took this 3-0 lead into halftime.

Nichols created the first chance of the second half when Lukas Salvador found himself one-on-one with Roger Williams' Eliot Panaccione. Salvador placed it low to the keeper's left, but Panaccione was quick to react and made a great save to deny the sophomore.

The Hawks ended their fourth and final goal of the contest when Shawn Middleton scored off a pass from Jennings, his second assist of the game. Nichols created a chance in the second half but was not able to convert any. The game ended 4-0 in favor of the Hawks.

Axon and Junior Anthony Grguric split time in the net today, both playing 45 minutes of the game and making 4 saves each.

Nichols goes on the road for their next match, traveling to Suffolk University for their final regular season match of the season. That contest will be held at the James A. Satori Stadium on Tuesday, October 28th at 7 PM.
