Football Shoulders 56-3 Loss Against Endicott

DUDLEY, Mass. (10/25/2025) – The Nichols football team could not break through the Endicott College defense on Saturday afternoon, resulting in a 56-3 loss to the Gulls in conference play at Vendetti Field.

With the loss, the Bison fall to 2-5 (2-2 CNE), while Endicott jumps to 6-1 (4-0 CNE).

Endicott finished the day with 515 yards of total offense, as compared to Nichols' 211 yards. Junior Quarterback Ethan LaGuardia played the full game for the Bison, contributing 152 yards passing on 13-of-27 success, with a long pass of 39 yards. While no individual was able to find the endzone, graduate student Jack Morvan led the receiver corps with 44 yards on five receptions, while sophomore kicker Nick Foynes contributed the team's lone points on a field goal. Defensively, graduate student Gael Alvarez-Rojas led the Bison with eight total tackles, while senior Kevin Branch logged two sacks.

The Bison defense held their own against the potent Endicott offense for the majority of the first quarter , limiting the Gulls to just two scores on three trips down the field for a 14-0 guest lead after one. However, the floodgates opened up in the second quarter with Endicott firing off another 21 unanswered points, putting the game out of reach at 35-0 by halftime.

After the break, the Gulls picked up right where they left off with a touchdown off the opening kickoff for the second half, which was scored on a whopping 90-yard return. Foynes countered with his lone field goal of the afternoon, a 19-yarder, to make it 42-3 with 7:08 left in the third quarter.
Endicott would finish the job the rest of the way, winning by the 56-3 final score.

Football hits the road for their next conference matchup, which will take place on Saturday, November 1st at the University of New England (5-1, 3-1 CNE). Kickoff is set for 1:00 PM at Blue Bolt Field.
