HARTFORD, Conn. (10/22/2025) – The Bison battled hard on the road this evening but came up just short, falling 1-0 to Hartford at the Al-Marzook Field.
With the loss, Nichols' record moves to 4-8-3 (2-5-1 CNE), while Hartford climbs to 8-5-2 (4-3-1 CNE).
The only goal of the contest came with just two minutes left in the first half, when Hartford's Cameron Tedesco found the back of the net off an assist from Adam Eley.
Despite the deficit, Nichols kept the pressure on in the second half. The Bison recorded 8 shots in the half, with 3 of them registering on goal. While the Bison generated opportunities, they were unable to convert or break through Hartford's back line. The game ended 1-0 in favor of the Hawks.
In the narrow contest, not a lot separates the two sides besides Tedesco's effort in the first half. Hartford finished with 12 shots to Nichols' 8, but both teams registered 3 on goal. Graduate student
William Pugliese-Savage led the way for the Bison in shots, registering two in the match.
Nichols returns home Saturday, October 22nd for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Athletes 4 Athletes match against Roger Williams University. Kickoff is set for 12 PM.
