DUDLEY, Mass. (10/18/2025) – On Saturday, Nichols College Women's Soccer hosted Endicott College for a Conference of New England match at the Nichols Soccer Field. After holding the Gulls to just one goal in the first half, the Gulls exploded in the second half, putting 5 past the Bison to give a 6-1 loss to the home side.
With the result, Nichols drops to 1-13-1 (0-7 CNE), while Endicott improves to 8-7-1 (5-3 CNE).
Endicott struck first in the 20th minute, when Hannah Lord collected an assist from Alyssa McColl and buried the opener. Samantha Klimas got the second assist on the one-touch passing play.
The Bison's defense held strong for the rest of the first half. Nichols junior goalkeeper
Hannah Deschene put up a strong performance in the first 45 minutes, making 10 saves on the 11 shots on goal she faced.
The Bison entered the second half hoping to restart momentum, but Endicott struck again in the 55th minute when Rhiann Dugan found the net from Lord's assist.
Just under three minutes later, Lord added her second goal of the match. The Gulls continued their scoring with Eliza Walker and Gabrielle
Klindtworth, making the score 5-0.
Julia Daly added the sixth goal at the 84th minute, capping off the day for the Gulls.
Nichols got on the board in the 89th minute as
Megan Tucker converted a feed from
Alyssa Senecal to avoid the shutout. Tucker's goal was the sophomore's first goal of the season, and the fourth of her collegiate career, while the assist from Senecal marked her first of her collegiate career.
Nichols' next match will be on the road at Hartford University on Wednesday, October 22nd, at 4 PM.
