Danbury, Conn. (9/7/2024) – The Nichols College men's soccer team came up short in their non-conference match against the Western Connecticut State Wolves on Saturday Afternoon. The Wolves edge the Bison 5-0.
With the loss, the Bison dropped to 1-2 (0-0 CNE) on the season, and the Wolves rose to 1-2 with the win. The match marked the third meeting between the two programs; the Wolves hold the edge 3-0 all-time.
The Wolves got the edge early, going up 2-0 on the Bison just 50 seconds apart in the 11th minute of the match. The home side continued their offensive push, adding tallies in the 24th and 39th minutes to take a 4-0 lead over the Bison into halftime.
In second-half action, the Bison slowed down the scoring with the lone West Conn goal coming in the 72nd minute.

Ethan Homa saw his first minutes of colligate action and made four saves in relief.
The Bison are back in action this Wednesday, September 11th, as they head on the road to face Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Kickoff for that is set for 7 pm in Buzzards Bay.
