Dudley, Mass. (4/9/2024) – The Nichols College Men's Tennis Team continued their CCC dominance as they took a win over the Gordon College Fighting Scots on a sunny Wednesday afternoon in Dudley. The Bison dropped just a point to come out with the 8-1 win.
 
With the win, the Bison move to 7-7 on the year, and the Fighting Scots fall to 4-7.  The Bison also still control the all-time series 18-1, with their only loss coming in 2008.
 
In doubles action, there were tight 8-7 wins at both the number one and two positions. At number three reigning CCC player of the week Trevor Schwarzmann and his partner Enzo Matos Balleux were commanding, coming out with a 8-1 win.
 
In singles play, there was a similar tight battle. The Bison took 5 of the 6 possible points, all of which were in straight sets. Those came via number one Leon Zeis (7-5, 6-2), number two Schwarzmannn (6-3, 6-2), number three Richard Hartmann Zuzio (6-3, 6-1), number four Matos Balleux (6-3, 6-0) and number five Caio Dieckmann (6-2, 6-3). Oscar Junyent fell in a tiebreak set at number six.
 
The Bison are back in action on Wednesday as they head to Springfield College for a non-conference match with the Pride. That match is set to start at 3:30 PM at the Appleton Tennis Courts in Springfield.
