Milton, Mass. (4/20/24) – The Nichols College Men's Tennis team continued their Commonwealth Coast Conference Triumph with a 9-0 win over the Curry College Colonels in Milton on Saturday Afternoon. With the win, the Bison have secured the top spot in the CCC and hosting rights through the 2024 playoffs.
The Bison were dominant, sweeping doubles all by an 8-0 margin. The Bison duos consisted of: the number one pairing of
Leon Zeis &
Kerem Subasi, number two
Caio Dieckmann &
Richard Hartmann Zuzio, and the three pair of
Trevor Schwarzmann &
Enzo Matos Balleux.
Dominance continued into singles play at the Bison won straight 6-0, 6-0 games at all slots 1-5. Getting those sweep wins four the Bison were
Leon Zeis at one,
Trevor Schwarzmann at two,
Richard Hartmann Zuzio at three,
Oscar Junyent at four and
Matteo Schmitt at five. Sophomore
William Pehl also his first action as a Bison in the six position, earning the win (6-2, 6-1).
The Bison return to action tomorrow, Sunday April 21
st as they wrap up the regular season with a home match against Western New England University. The rescheduled match will also serve as the Bison's annual senior day where they will honor seniors
Caio Dieckmann and
Trevor Schwarzmann prior to the match. That ceremony is set for 12:45 PM, match at 1 PM.
