BRISTOL, R.I. (4/16/24) - The Nichols College women's lacrosse team dropped a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) contest to Roger Williams on Tuesday night by a final score of 20-2.  

With the result, the Bison fall to 11-4 (2-3 CCC) on the season, while the Hawks improve to 8-7 (7-0 CCC) with the win. 
  
Roger Williams scored the first fourteen goals of the evening before Makala Dube found the back of the net for the Bison to make it 14-1 late in the second quarter. The Hawks added another goal right before halftime to take a 15-1 lead heading into the break.  
  
It was all Hawks in the second half as they tacked on five unanswered goals before Hadley Houghton stopped the bleeding by taking advantage of her free position attempt late in the fourth frame to close out the game 20-2. 

Goaltender Briar Slattery made six saves in the loss and was relieved at halftime by Keri Trembley who recorded seven saves of her own. 
  
The team looks to bounce back on Saturday, April 20th when they travel to Wentworth College for a CCC showdown. The game is slated to start at 7:00 p.m. at Sweeney Field in Boston, Massachusetts.
