Morvan Named to New England Football Writers All-New England Team

– Senior Jack Morvan of the Nichols College football team is one of 33 members of the 2024 New England Football Writers Association All-New England Team, the Association announced on Monday, November 25th. The team, selected by a committee of media relations representatives from the six conferences, honors the best Division II and III players by position in New England from the 2024 season.
 
Morvan, a two-time Conference First Team selection as a wide receiver posted a career season as a senior. He led the Conference of New England in receiving yards (967) and touchdowns (11) while finishing in second overall in receptions (51). Morvan was just named a CNE First Teamer as well, by the coaches in the conference.

Morvan also set a new single season program record for receiving yards (967) passing the old record of 940 yards that was set in 2016. The Uxbridge, Mass. native set the record in just nine games played and averaged 107.4 yards a game, while also averaging 1.1 touchdowns a game this season.

"Jack is a great recipient of this award.", said Head Coach Vinny Marino, " He has been a great player for us for the past two years. It is a great honor for him and our program".  

Nichols is one of five teams from the CNE with a representative on the All-New England Team. Morvan becomes the second Bison to earn the honor in the last three seasons, while teammate Derrick Revolus earning the honor in 2022.

The team will be honored at the New England Football Writers Captains and Awards Banquet on Thursday, December 12, at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel and Conference Center.
