NASHUA, N.H. (11/26/2024) – The Nichols College men's hockey team saw four different Bison find the back of the net as the Bison topped Rivier University 4-0 on Tuesday evening from Conway Arena in Nashua, N.H.

Ryan Austin each scored a goal for the Bison. For Austin this is his first collegiate goal.

Luca Ricci, and Austin all tallied helpers in the game. Freshman
Liam Choquette earned his first collegiate win and his first collegiate shut out as he stopped 18 shots in the win for the Bison.
Neither team scored in the first period as the Bison out shot the Raiders 18-6 in the opening frame.
Carl opened the scoring after Austin forced a turnover in sent a pass up ahead to Carl. Carl and Dickson raced into the offensive zone with 2-on-1 and Carl and Dickson passed back and fourth before Carl buried the puck into the open cage for a 1-0 lead 30 seconds into the second period.
The Bison were not done their and doubled their lead, thanks to Austin, who scored on a 5 on 3 power-play. Ricci sent a pass down low and then Voyatzis one timed the pass wide of the net. Austin settled the puck at the point before walking into the high slot and rifling a shot past the net minder for a 2-0 lead.
In the third period, Hamel picked the pocket of the Raider defender and raced up ice, he centered a pass for Vandale who fired home the puck for a 3-0 Bison lead with 15:25 to play in the game. A Bison 3-on-1 led to the fourth goal of the game. Lee, Allegirni, and Dickson all earned a touch before Lee buried the shot into the net after some nice passing for a 4-0 lead.
Nichols (3-4-2, 1-3-2 CNE) will have some time off for the Thanksgiving Break, before returning to Conference of New England (CNE) play as they welcome Wentworth to Levy Rink on Friday, December 6
th. Puck drop is set for 5:40 p.m.
