BEVERLY, Mass. (10/26/24) – In a conference match on the road, the Nichols College women's soccer team fell 2-0 to the Endicott College Gulls Saturday afternoon in Beverly.
With the loss, the Bison dropped to 4-11-2 (0-8 CNE) on the year. The Gulls rise to 9-4-4 (5-1-2 CNE).
The Gulls opened the scoring in the 11th minute as a set piece from Ella Morgan made its way out of the corner, and Michelle Donahue got on the ball to put the Gulls up 1-0. Strong defense from the Bison allowed that goal to be the first half's only tally.
In second-half action, the Gulls extended their lead to two in the 69th minute and held the Bison off to keep a clean sheet.
The Gulls outshot the Bison 27-4 (10-2 SOG).
Saige Frazier was a driving defensive force for the Bison recording 8 saves. Freshman
Annya O'Rourke led the way for the Bison taking two shots.
Nichols will wrap up their 2024 season with a trip to Western New England University this Tuesday, October 29th for a tilt with the Golden Bears. Kickoff is set for 3:30 PM at Surprenant Field in Springfield.
