BRISTOL, RI (10/19/24)-  Four goals in the first half helped push the host Roger Williams University Hawks past the Nichols College Bison in women's soccer action on Saturday afternoon in Rhode Island. The Hawks topped the Bison 5-0 in CNE action.

The game-winning goal was scored just 46 seconds into the match by the Hawks. They went on to add four more in only 49 minutes of play. The Bison held the Hawks at bay for the last 41 minutes of play. The shots were tight but fell in favor of the Hawks 14-10 (7-9 SOG).

Hannah Deschene, who earned the start in net for the Bison, made three saves. In the 79th minute, freshman Cassie Rice relieved her. Rice has seen action as a field player this season, but this was her first action between the pipes. She made one save to keep the clean sheet.

Next up for the Bison is a home match with the Gordon College Fighting Scots. That CNE match is set for Tuesday at 3 pm in Dudley.
