CCC Release
BIDDEFORD, Maine – Five members of the Nichols men's lacrosse team landed spots on the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) All-Tournament teams, with a trio of Bison being named to the Second Team and a pair featured on the Third Team. The postseason honors come after Nichols posted a 10-7 (4-4 CCC) regular-season before defeating Roger Williams and falling to Endicott in the playoffs to finish 11-7, marking the most wins since 1970.

Brady Morgan earned a spot on the second team. Both attackmen for the Bison in their fifth and final season, the duo was responsible for roughly 85% of the team's 186 goals, with Ferreira scoring 44 and Keohane potting 39 of his own, eight of which being a man-up. Ferreira, finished with 62 points after dishing out 18 assists. Additionally, the Mansfield, Mass. native scooped 40 ground balls and caused 11 turnovers. Keohane, hailing out of Yorktown Heights, N.Y., nabbed 23 ground balls while causing six turnovers. Morgan posted a league-leading 236 saves, resulting in a 9.14 goals against average (best among starters in the CCC) and a .593 save percentage in his sophomore season.

Colby Gillis was a main component for offensive success throughout the campaign to land on the third team with classmate
Nick Gualtieri, who earned a spot as a short-stick specialist. Gillis posted 32 assists on the season which were good for second-best in the conference. The Northborough, Mass. product recorded six games with three assists or more, including four-assist efforts in CCC victories over Curry and Wentworth. Gualtieri was a major factor off the bench, as the Billerica, Mass. native nabbed 36 ground balls while three of his 20 caused turnovers came in the CCC Semifinals at Endicott.
The Bison now boast 28 all-time All-CCC selections and will look to build off their successes from this past season in the years to come under the direction of head coach
Shayne Lynch.
